Since coming together in 2007, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have become renowned for their passionate and profoundly charismatic concerts. As this sprawling anthology documents, The Magnetic Zeros aren't a band so much as a ecstatic, psych-folk fusion of carnival hijinks, hippie musical and tent revivalism. It's a unique fusion, one that blossoms on the collection's most shambolic, off-the-cuff offerings" "Janglin," "I Don't Wanna Pray" and especially "Up From Below." Their massive hit, "Home," is featured (of course), but it sounds rather tame when compared to the album's other cuts.
